Although gasoline is expensive these days, not many car manufacturers are willing to invest serious money in making their cars lighter and less thirsty. Here come third-party tuners like, say, the American tuning specialist Vorsteiner that has just presented its new CSL-style program for the 2008 BMW M3 (E92) compact super-sedan.

The company, for example, has replaced some of 2008 M3's original parts with carbon fiber alternatives and also equipped it with weight-saving exhaust system made of titanium.

The vehicle's got faster, too. With new ECU module, the M3's V8 engine now produces 460hp and 445Nm of torque, which is respectively 40hp and 45Nm better than the originally mapped powerplant can go. With the electronic Vmax limiter removed, the car can achieve a top speed of crazy 320km/h. And soon there will be a 500hp version, too!
