Toyota Prius PHEV tested in the UK
Toyota and the local energy company EDF Energy have joined their forces to test the long-awaited Toyota Prius PHEV plug-in hybrid on public roads. For the next fifty weeks or so, the EDF employees will drive the cars on a daily basis as part of the energy giant's fleet of vehicles.
In its press release, Toyota says that the program will play "a pivotal role in the development of Toyota's PHV technology, which represents a further improvement on Toyota's hybrid technology".
The company says nothing as to when the testing will finally be complete and we will see production version of the car.
