Hyundai Keeps 2007 Accent's Price Under $11,000
Hyundai Motor America has published its price list for the upcoming series of its fuel-efficient three-door Hyundai Accent hatchbacks. The good news is that basic price for a trim with a five-speed manual gear-box will be kept just under the $11,000 level. And for this money you will get a nice package of standard features, too.
All Accents will be motivated by the same 1.6-liter DOHC CVVT in-line four-cylinder engine that features maximum power output of 110 hp at 6000 rpm. Considering that the car is pretty lightweight, it means that the engine will be powerful enough to provide the new Hyundai Accent with nice acceleration, while maintaining decent mileage. In its press release Hyundai promises to deliver up to 37 mpg on the highway for the Accent equipped with an automatic transmission.
As to the model range, Hyundai plans to serve the new Accent in three basic packages: 3-door Accent GS and SE, and a 4-door Accent GLS. Since each package may be ordered with either 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual transmission, there will effectively be six different packages:
Each model comes with a set of standard equipment, such as six aibags -- dual front airbags, front seat-mounted side-impact airbags and roof-mounted side-curtain airbags covering both rows of seating, intermittent wipers, a rear spoiler, a tachometer and two 12-volt outlets.
For additional money you can order the new Hyundai Accent with 16-inch alloy wheels, fog-lights, power sunroof, and a premium audio system.
