Mansory paints its Renovatio SLR black and white
German tuner Mansory has already made quite a splash with its tuning programs for the Bentley Continental GTC and Rolls Royce Phantom Conquistador. This time they reintroduce their weight-saving Renovatio program for the famous Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren supercar with a two-tone black&white paint job. Because the original Renovatio's color of fake gold was just too disgusting, I suppose.

We skipped this one back in March when it was originally presented in Geneva, but this time it seems to finally get us. I mean, maybe they won't reintroduce this stupid pieces of carbon fiber if they get enough press coverage?

The program consists of a new body kit, which is made of the same carbon fiber, but features a little bit different aerodynamics. Its front apron, for example, has a different shape because it has to divert some air to a pair of new intercoolers that are mounted right behind the front bumper. The rear apron with new integrated diffuser also supposed to provide the supercar with additional downforce.

The car's got 0.2 seconds faster than the original model courtesy of a new supercharger unit, an ECU remap and a new high-flow exhaust system. With all these upgrades, the SLR's original 5.5-liter V8 gets its power increased from 626hp to more impressive 700ho and its torque also rises from 780Nm to 880Nm.

Although the Renovatio's exterior color scheme is now much better than before, inside it's still disgusting like a red-neck's wet dream.
