Audi A1 Sportback Concept to be revealed in Paris
Thanks to the guys from Auto Motor und Sport magazine spelling the beans, the new Audi A1 Sportback Concept has been revealed ahead of schedule. Looking at the tiny car, I kind of understand their eagerness to spread the good news.

The car looks almost identical to the Audi A1 Metroproject Quattro Concept unveiled exactly a year ago at the 40th Tokyo Motor Show, so there is a hope that the production version of the A1 Sportback Concept will also be close to the original exterior design.

Set to compete with BMW's Mini EV supercompact, the A1 Sportback Concept will be motivated by a 150hp 1.4-liter TFSI engine working together with a 20kW electric motor. Looks like the latter will be directly coupled to Audi's new dual-clutch S-Tronic DSG gearbox. No wonder that the hybrid-powered car will have 0-100km/h acceleration time of 7.9 seconds while featuring outstanding 3.9L/100km (60.3 mpg) fuel efficiency and emitting only 92g/km of CO2.
