The BlueEFFICIENCY package, Daimler says in its press release, consists of an automatic gearbox with standstill decoupling technology, on-demand power steering, and a set of low-resistance tires. What's really interesting, is that the vehicle's diesel engine was not modified at all, still delivering its normal 235hp and 540Nm of torque, and taking only 7.8 seconds to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h. Its top speed is electronically limited at 250km/h.
