2009 VW Scirocco tuning kit by Abt

German tuner Abt Sportsline has promptly posted its response to a new tuning package revealed last week by OETTINGER. Abt's tuning program for the 2009 VW Scirocco includes engine upgrade kits for the 1.4 TSI, 2.0 TDI and the 2.0 TSI engines, as well as suspension tuning, new brakes and a full body kit.



The body kit, Abt says in its press release, consists new bumper fascia and grille, new side skirts with two extra air vents, rear wing and rear bumper fascia, and a roof spoiler. There is also new deadly-looking four-pipe exhaust system.

With the 1.4 TSI, 2.0 TDI and the 2.0 TSI engines upgraded, 2009 Volkswagen Scirocco gets its power increased from 160hp to 200hp, from 140hp to 170hp and from 200hp to 240hp respectively. To help the driver tame this extra power, Abt equipped the car with new brake kit including new pads, rotor and calipers. The car may also be ordered with custom wheels with sizes ranging from 18 to 20 inches.

In Germany, the full kit will cost €5990. Ouch.
