Hummer H3x Prices Announced

General Motors announced yesterday that the new Hummer H3x based on the H3 Street concept SUV will be available in August at a base price of $38,065.







The luxury version of the most popular and least expensive Hummer will include chrome tube steps, a chrome fuel filler door, a chrome appearance package and roof rack brightwork. GM also plans to put 18-inch chrome wheels and a chrome brush guard into the standard package. Thankfully, the grille and hard spare tire cover will be painted in a body-color, no chrome here.

Other standard equipment includes full-time electronic four-wheel drive, OnStar communication system, and Stabilitrak.

The 2007 Hummer H3 and H3x will both receive the new Vortec 3.7-liter inline five-cylinder engine with dual overhead cams and variable valve timing. Mated with either automatic or manual transmission, the engine is capable to produce 242 hp at 5600 rpm and 242 lb.-ft. (328 Nm) of torque at 4600 rpm.
