2009 Mercedes-Benz CLS Grand Edition will start at €67,294
The facelifted Mercedes-Benz CLS four-door coupe has been revealed almost a year ago. Now, the respected German automaker is trying to reignite interest to the model with introduction of a new, even more elegant version of the car. Meet the European-only 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLS Grand Edition!
There are lots of ways to get a personalized version of your car from a nearest tuning specialist, but, perhaps, the best choice is to order a Grand Edition version from the manufacturer. At least, the build quality and choice of materials will be much better than your local tuner can provide.
The 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLS Grand Edition comes covered in a fashionable matte platinum paint, although you can also order the car with more customary obsidian black, iridium silver, carneol red and flint grey metallic finishes. To make the car even more appealing, it was equipped with a set of 18-inch five-spoke AMG alloy wheels fitted with 245/40 front and 275/35 rear tires. A pair of "Grand Edition" insignias on the CLS' front fenders makes sure that everybody knows the car is special indeed.
Inside the CLS Grand Edition you will find a tilt/slide glass roof, elegant laurel wood trim that can also be ordered in either gloss or matte finish (no carbon fiber here, sorry), a roof lined in Alcantara, a steering wheel with leather and wood finish, and an aluminum and brushed stainless steel interior trim.
Mercedes plans to start shipping the first cars in March 2009 with an entry-level CLS280 model priced at just €67,294.50.
