2007 Nissan Versa Hatchback pricing announced

Nissan North America has announced prices for the new 2007 Nissan Versa Hatchback, which came on sale last Friday. In its press release, the company says that the entry level model Nissan Versa 1.8 S will sell for as low as $12,450.



The basic model will feature a standard 122 hp 1.8-liter DOHC four-cylinder engine and a six-speed manual transmission. The Versa 1.8 S with a four-speed automatic will be priced at $13,250; the Versa 1.8 SL that comes with a six-speed manual will cost you $14,450; and the Versa 1.8 SL equipped with more interesting Xtronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) is priced at $15,450.

Standard equipment includes an AM/FM/CD audio system, 60/40 split fold-down rear seatbacks, an Advanced Air Bag System (AABS) and both front seat side-impact and side-curtain supplemental air bags. Estimated EPA highway/city fuel economy is 30/36 miles per gallon with the CVT transmission.

As for the more comfortable SL models, they come with standard 15-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, in-dash 6CD autochanger with mp3 playback, auxiliary input jack, remote keyless entry, cruise control with steering wheel controls and soft-touch interior accents. Available optional amenities include Intelligent Key keyless entry/ignition system, Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone System, power sunroof and satellite radio.

Available packages for the 2007 Nissan Versa include the Power Package (1.8 S), Convenience Package (1.8 SL), Audio Package (1.8 SL), Sport Package (1.8 SL), Sunroof Package (1.8 SL), Satellite Radio (1.8 SL) and ABS Package (all models).
