Volkswagen launches aero-kit for the VW Passat
For those who want to transform their bulky family sedan into something, resembling a sports car, VW offers its new aerodynamic package. Going on sale in September, it is inspired by last years SEMA concept vehicles, Edmunds.com reports.
The kit consists of a more aggressive front and rear skirts, side sills, tailgate lip and twin exhaust pipes, as well as a honeycomb front grille and smaller side air intakes. Special springs lower the car by 25-30 mm and limit suspension travel. The new Velos 18-inch alloy wheels are offered in titanium or chrome-silver finish, with Pirelli P Zero Asimmetrico 235/45ZR18 tires.
As of now, VW plans to limit the push with an aerodynamics only, not offering this time any complementary engine upgrade.
In the U.S., the package will cost about $4,500.
