The 2007 Nissan Maxima SE executive sedan comes equipped with a standard V6 3.5-liter DOHC engine. Mated with sport-tuned Xtronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) with traction control system, the powerplant produces 255hp of power and delivers healthy 252 lb-ft of torque.
The base version of the 2007 Nissan Maxima SE will be available at a recommended price of $28,050 before rebates.
There will also be a more luxurious version of the vehicle. Called Nissan Maxima 3.5 SL, it will be available at a slightly higher price of $30,300.
The Maxima SL trim is more expensive than the entry-level model, because the car features such standard equipment as xenon headlights, leather interior with patches of (fake?) wood here and there, four-way power passenger seat, heated front seats, and a set of 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with H-rated P225/55R17 tires.
Both models of the new Nissan Maxima sport a new set of redesigned seats as well as a new wood-tone trim and new aluminum interior accents that are available to the SL and SE models respectively.
The instruments panel of the new vehicle also features a set of Fine Vision gauges that make the data more legible even on brightest days and don’t irritate your eyes during long night rides.
Exterior-wise, the car has recived a new corporate grille with a huge “Nissan” logo, redesigned headlights, new front and rear bumpers with new tailpies, more aggressive side sills, more prominent rear spoiler (SE, SL optional) and new wheel designs.
A trendy Intelligent Key keyless entry system also comes into standard package. Surprisingly, the Rear Sonar System parking assist hardware comes at an extra cost.
Both Nissan Maxima SE and SL models can be equipped with Bluetooth hands-free systems, satellite radio, auto-dimming mirrors and DVD-based navigation system with 7-inch color display.
The new Nissan Maxima is available immediately throughout the United States.
