Can you believe it? The 2007 Lexus RX350 mid-size crossover SUV was initially introduced to the North American market only some five months ago! However, Toyota’s luxury brand has already started to lower prices on premium option packages making them more affordable to prospective customers. It feels like Christmas. Really.

First introduced in 2003 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the mid-size crossover SUV was refreshed early this year. Since its original 3.3-liter engine was replaced with a more powerful 3.5-liter motor, the car’s name was also changed from RX330 to more appropriate RX350.

The Japanese crossover still shares its underpinnings with a somewhat larger Toyota Highlander SUV, but offers better interior materials and a number of luxury features you will not find in the Highlander. However, people say that its soundproofing still sucks a great deal.

Lexus has offered price cuts for the most popular options packages, including Premium Package, Premium Plus Package, Navigation System/Mark Levinson Package, Performance Package and even Multi-Panel Moonroof Package, each cut close to a thousand dollars.

The Premium Package’s price has been slashed by $900 so you can now get your leather interior, roof pack, power moonroof, power tilt/telescoping steering wheel and illuminated entry system for only $1,245.

The Performance Package now comes $940 cheaper and a set of 18-inch graphite-plated aluminum alloy wheels, sequential automatic, air suspension and rain-sensing wipers can now by ordered for $4,055 only.

The Multi-Panel Moonroof Package for the Lexus RX 350 is now priced at $2,840.

This package includes the multi-panel moonroof, leather-trimmed interior, power tilt/telescoping steering wheel with memory, illuminated entry system and HID headlamps with AFS.

That’s not all.

Audiophiles can now order their RX with a Navigation System/Mark Levinson Package, getting Lexus’ 5G navigation system and the 11-speaker 210-watt Mark Levinson Premium Audio System for as low as $6,190.

The package also includes the rear back-up camera, voice activation and Bluetooth connectivity.

On the U.S. market the Lexus RX 350 competes against the Japanese Acura RDX, the British Land Rover LR2 and Subaru B9 Tribeca (which is also made in Japan) entry-luxury crossovers.
