The 2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK 500 Coupe and Cabriolet models are both equipped with a new V8 5.5-liter engine that features a maximum 388 hp of power and delivers a torrent of torque peaking at 530 Nm.
In fact, the engine is so powerful that it accelerates this little monster from zero to 62 mph in just 5.9 seconds — that is 0.7 seconds better than the outgoing model has fared.

What’s interesting is that the new CLK 500 still sports decent mileage, featuring 11.4 – 11.5 liters per 100 km (that’s about 27.5 mpg). Maybe, it’s because of a well-tuned new seven-speed 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission.
As most Mercedes’ models, the base CLK 500 looks like it has gone to McDonald’s one time too often so MB has decided to also offer the car with an AMG sports and styling package.
The kit won’t take away the fat but it will hide the belly under the body styling plastic, which includes the front and rear apron and a pair of side skirt panels, as well as an AMG spoiler lip on the boot lid and a chromed AMG twin tailpipe.
The car can also be ordered with leather multi-contour seats, metallic paintwork, an AMG ergonomic sports steering wheel with shift paddles (with the automatic transmission) and aluminum sports pedals.
If you live in the UK, the kit will cost you about £4402 (including 16% VAT).
