The 2007 Mercedes-Benz SLK performance roadster has finally received a new sports package. For a sporty convertible that even in its base SLK280 /SLK300 trim comes equipped with a powerful 3.0-liter engine that churns out almost 230 hp and takes less than 6.5 seconds to accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour, the new sports package will really come handy.
Current SLK-class has been here for almost three years, sales are probably starting to gradually slow down and it is definitely about the right time for the German car maker to introduce a minor upgrade package for the vehicle.
The set of optional equipment does not significantly increase the compact roadster engine’s power output, but it does make it more energetic and up to the point.
The package includes a lowered sports suspension, a set of 18-inch wheels, new braking system, the new 7G-TRONIC seven-speed automatic gearbox with steering wheel shift pedals, as well as new air filter that makes SLK’s engine sound even better.
The tuning kit for the 2007 Mercedes SLK roadster will cost European customers between €1,148.40 and €1,612.40.
