Hamann has announced availability of a tuning package, which does not only provide the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder with a racier looks, but really gives the open-top Lamborghini more horsepower and torque.

The German tuning specialist didn’t dare to tinker with the V10 engine’s mechanics.

The maximum power output and the peak torque were pumped up by means of adding four 76mm tailpipes combined with Hamann sports metal catalysts and a recalibrated Engine Control Unit (ECU). Together, all these enhancements allow for an increase in power from 490 to 520 hp and a 40 Nm increase in torque to 495 Nm.

The added power is matched with a new set of brakes with 8-piston calipers up front and 6-pots in back.

And the top of all, is the new pair of iconic Lambo-doors: after a week-worth of work, the factory doors are modified to open butterfly-style, just like those, installed on the ‘big’ Lamborghinis, like, for example, the latest Lamborghini Murcielago LP640.
