Peugeot 206 poses as a Citroen C2 to infiltrate Chinese market
August 29th, 2006
Trying to bolster sales of not so popular among Chinese customers Peugeot brand French PSA group decided to put the Citroen C2 badge on its older Peugeot 206 model. Oh, but that is not fair, is that?
The vehicle, developed under the code name T21, will not have too much in common with the European C2 compact hatchback we’ve got used to. Rather, it will be the same good old 206 with Citroen’s corporate grille, front bumper and headlamps, and new rear lights.
The Chinese C2 will be assembled with 1.4- and 1.6-liter four-cylinder gasoline engines.
