2007 Opel Antara to debut in Paris
The 2007 Opel Antara 4WD compact crossover SUV will be presented to the public during the upcoming motor show in Paris, to be held from September 30 through October 15, 2006. Based on General Motors’ Theta platform, the new the crossover shares its guts, a great deal of body parts and engines with current Saturn Vue, Chevrolet Captiva, as well as the Korean Daewoo Winstorm.
Its exterior design is inspired by the three door GTC concept car, first unveiled at the IAA 2005 trade show Frankfurt/Main, Germany.

The new Opel Antara will be initially shipped with a choice of three engines.
The entry-level trim will be equipped with an anemic 2.4-liter 140 hp engine.
More expensive Antaras will come with 3.2-liter V6 engines, producing up to 227 hp.
Both engines run on gasoline but there will also be a 2.0-liter, 150 hp turbo-diesel, featuring common-rail fuel injection system. Later it will be joined by a less powerful 127 hp version.
As I have already reported, the crossover will sell for as low as €26,850.
