Upgraded for the year 2007, the face-lifted Volkswagen Touareg SUV features significantly restyled (yet still not particularly compelling) front fascia with VW’s new polished and chromed, jabot-style corporate grille, new rear styling as well as some changes to the vehicle’s interior.
For example, the new Touareg will also be optionally equipped with the Dynaudio sound system.
The new Volkswagen Touareg will be presented during the upcoming international motor show in Paris. The SUV will feature new front grill, bonnet, front grille and bumper, as well as new head lights and mirrors.
Some modifications are also introduced into the Touareg’s rear optics, spoiler and bumper, and exhaust pipes.
The redesigned VW Touareg will sport such safety features as Active Rollover Protection, rain brake support, fading brake support and understeer control logic. Of course, there will be smart ABS system called “ABSPlus” and new ESP.
The vehicle will be introduced to the European market with a choice of four engines.
There will be a 3.6-liter petrol V6, pumping out a maximum of 280 horsepower; 2.5-liter TDI 174 hp diesel power-plant; 3.0-liter V6 TDI 225 hp diesel; and top of the range 5.0-liter V10 TDI with 313 hp.
