The Altima Hybrid is motivated by a combination of Nissan’s GR25 2.5-liter internal combustion four-banger and an electric motor/generator.

The pair is capable of delivering some 198 hp of combined maximum power output, which is then transferred to wheels via CVT electronically-controlled transmission.

Nissan promises lower tailpipe emission levels and decent mileage, the car’s said to deliver 41 mpg city and 36 highway, which is respectively 18 and 7 mpg better than the original 2007 Nissan Altima’s figures.
