The German tuning specialist Racedesign Automotive makes a nice holiday gift to motorists still owning older 1997-2001 Audi A6 type B vehicles. Although on these promotional photos the parts of the body kit look somewhat “aftermarket”, I must admit that the guys from Racedesign did their homework and the plastic somehow manages to blend nicely into the dated design of the good old A6.
The centerpiece of the new body kit is its “Single Frame” spoiler bumper, supplied with an RDX single-frame grille. Resembling styling cues of the latest Audi models, the grille gives the older vehicles much younger visual appearance.
The bumper comes with an aluminum space frame, a set of fitting instructions and an installation kit. It may also be supplied with Audi’s original grille.
New front is matched with Racedesign’s new rear apron, which is installed directly on the original rear bumper.
The tuner claims that the apron can be fitted on vehicles either with or without a PDC parking aid and also comes with an aluminum space frame.
The set seems to be pretty affordable, since the company charges only €399 for the “Single Frame” spoiler bumper and put a price tag of just €199 for the rear apron.
