2009 Ford Flex crossover

Ford has finally unveiled its 2009 Ford Flex crossover vehicle. Based on the 2005 Ford Fairlane concept, the Flex is essentially a family van in a CUV’s cloth.

Planned to go on sale in the summer of 2008, the Flex will be offered with the AWD (all-wheel-drive) transmission powered by the same 3.5-liter V6 engine installed in the Ford Edge crossover.

The car will be equipped with a six-speed automatic gearbox.

The cars will come to market with side and curtain airbags for all three rows of seats and standard stability control.
