Elfin Sports Cars has officially presented its Elfin MS8 Streamliner 50th Anniversary edition sports car during the 2007 Melbourne International Motor Show. With its body painted in honey gold, ultra-thin rubber wrapping its light alloy wheels, and a deliberately elongated bonnet with elegantly sculpted front fenders, this vintage-styled car really stands out from the anonymous crowd of modern roadsters.

Only five Streamliners will be handcrafted, all of them painted in a gorgeous ‘Cooper Gold’ color named after Mr. Garrie Cooper — the company’s founder.

The Elfin MS8 Streamliner 50th Anniversary has been created to celebrate fifty years since the foundation of the marquee.

The roadster will be motivated by a 5.7-liter Gen III V8 engine outsourced from the Chevy Corvette and coupled to an optional supercharger from Walkinshaw Performance.

With the supercharger installed, the engine is capable of delivering up to 540 hp @ 5,600 rpm with a peak torque of 660Nm reached at 4,400 rpm. With all this power, the feather-light car makes it to 62mph in only three seconds.

The Elfin MS8 Streamliner 50th Anniversary will be available this summer at a price of AUD $128,500 and the supercharger will set you back at additional AUD $12,000.
