Although it is still a matter of weeks before the 2007 IAA motor show in Frankfurt will officially open its doors, some interesting shots of the upcoming releases start surfacing on the Web. This time it’s a first photo of the 2008 Audi A4 compact sedan.
While the exterior design of the car can only be described as “evolutionary”, the new A4 does look really fresh mainly thanks to the set of new, a lot sportier bumpers and new headlamps with thin strips of LED indicators that will possibly be used as daytime running lights.
Holding the title of the most popular choice among corporate buyers in Germany, the Audi A4 line is of even greater importance for the German brand than its above the €100K sports cars and limousines.
The 2008 Audi A4 will be 4.7 meters long and 1.83 meters wide. The base model will be motivated by a fuel-efficient yet powerful 160hp 1.8-liter TFSI engine with 3.2-liter 260hp V6 FSI, 2.0, 2.7 and 3.0-liter diesels also available soon after the model will go on sale.
Safety features include six standard airbags. That’s all we know at this time.
Update: OK, here is some more press photos of the 2008 Audi A4 for your viewing pleasure:
