The 2009 Jaguar XF super-sedan, which will be officially unveiled only in the middle of September, has already received a recommended price tag for the U.K. Although Jaguar is usually associated with very expensive “flagship” models, the new FX will in fact feature, um, an entry-level model that will allow you to own a British legend without breaking a bank.
In the United Kingdom, the new Jag XF will start from quite affordable price of £33,900 (on the road) for a model powered by either a 2.7-liter V6 diesel or a 3.0-liter V6 petrol engine.
Models equipped with more powerful 4.2-liter V8 engine, including a supercharged one, will begin from more impressive £44,500 mark.
The price, however, doesn’t look that intimidating considering the fact the 2009 XF-Series is aimed against such pricey rivals as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, Audi and other premium-segment vehicles of European and Asian origin.
The British automaker plans to start shipping the 2009 Jaguar XF in the beginning of next year, while the first buyers will get into their cars only by the March 1, 2008.
