With its 600 bhp and 750 Nm of torque under the hood, the recently unveiled 2008 Bentley Continental GT Speed sport coupe is the first production Bentley to top 200 mph. And since, at this velocity, there is a cubic relationship between the increase in the speed of a car and the energy wasted to combat air drag, it is the most powerful member of the family, too.
It takes the car only 4.5 seconds to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h and it easily achieves the top speed of 326 km/h (202 mph).
The new Bentley Continental GT Speed features wider, lower air intake and new front grille as well as new 20-inche wheels, larger tail pipes and chromed headlamp bezels.
Under the hood, the British beauty hides a potent W12 engine.
Sharing its basic architecture with other VW’s W12-s, the revised motor features more optimized design with new engine management system and lower friction, lighter-weight components including new connecting rods and new pistons with anodized ring slots.
