Ford has announced its plans to produce a limited edition of its heated up to a boiling point Ford Focus ST hatchback.

Painted jet black with some orange details added, the Ford Focus ST Black Edition is claimed to be inspired by the Knight Rider’s KITT-controlled Knight 2000 coupe. Although the latter was based on a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am T-top.

The car will be equipped with the 220hp 2.5-liter turbo engine, with torque reaching plateau between 1,600 and 4,000rpm.

Mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, the engine catapults the vehicle to 100km/h time in just 6.8 seconds. It reaches the top speed of 241km/h.

Inside the cabin, you’ll find a new sports steering wheel and ST Recaro seats matching the orange trim.

The ST Black Edition appearance kit includes larger rear wing and 19-inch black alloys fitted with the Dunlop “SP Sportmaxx” tires in size 225/35Z R19.

Active safety is ensured with the help of 320mm ventilated discs and four calipers, and 280mm discs and two calipers up front and back respectively.

There is also a four-channel ABS system with EBD and ESP programs.

The hatchback’s total production run will be limited to just 50 copies. So, it will be even more exclusive than an average premium-class Swiss watch. Wow.
