Rolls-Royce has officially confirmed that it plans to start actually producing its stunning Rolls-Royce 101 EX concept coupe.
With a total length of 5609 mm and a wheelbase of 3320 millimeters (which is, by the way, 318 mm longer than that of the 2008 Audi Q7 full-size crossover SUV), the new Rolls-Royce Phantom is going to be the most comfortable performance coupe currently available on the market.
With its precious wood veneer and leather, it will also feature the plushest interior in the niche, which is currently overpopulated by cars featuring nothing but carbon, aluminum and synthetic materials designed to reduce weight.
When finally introduced, the model will complete RR’s model range, joining the gorgeous Phantom, Phantom Extended Wheelbase and the Phantom Drophead Coupe.
The Rolls-Royce Phantom coupe will be motivated by the standard for the range 6.75-liter V12 engine capable of producing 450 hp and 531 lb-ft (720Nm) of torque. However, having a shorter body, sportier suspension and chassis and, hopefully, lower mass, the coupe will be more driver-oriented.
The new coupe will go on sale sometime next year and will be sold at a price higher than the original Phantom, but lower than that of Phantom Drophead Coupe.
