2008 Pontiac G8 RWD sedan starts below $30K
The 2008 Pontiac G8 RWD will be available in two trims -the G8 and the G8 GT- and will get to local dealerships “early next year”.
If you suddenly find yourself thinking that the car looks just too great for a Pontiac, it is absolutely okay, since the vehicle is in fact a badge-engineered version of the gorgeous rear-wheel-drive Holden Commodore that was introduced last year.
The entry-level 2008 Pontiac G8 is equipped with a 3.6-liter VVT V6 engine mated to a five-speed automatic.

Starting at affordable $29,595, the performance sedan will also feature StabiliTrak electronic stability control, six airbags and GM’s own OnStar system.
More powerful Pontiac G8 GT is motivated by a 362 hp 6.0-liter V8.

Featuring wider range of standard equipment, including fuel-saving Active Fuel Management system (also known as displacement on demand) and a limited-slip rear differential, the car is mated to either standard six-speed automatic or an optional six-speed manual transmission.
All in all, this one will clearly be a fascinating toy for any enthusiast looking for some American muscle with a strong Australian accent (OMG, what am I typing right now?)
