2008 Subaru Legacy STI S402 (JDM)
Subaru will soon release a special edition version of its red-hot Legacy STI model.
Limited to about a thousand units, the 2008 Subaru Legacy STI S402 will be manufactured in both wagon and sport sedan versions and will be sold only in Japan. Damn.
The vehicle sports the same 2.5-liter twin-scroll turbocharged four-banger as the Legacy WRX STI does. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission also featuring SI-DRIVE system allowing for adjustment of the front-rear power bias making the car more suitable for a given road.
The 2008 Subaru Legacy STI S402 comes equipped with Bilstein suspension, large six-pot front and two-pot rear Brembo brakes, electroluminescent gauges and a MOMO steering wheel.
The S402’s fenders are widened by 20mm to make more room for the 18-inch BBS wheels fitted with Bridgestone Potenza RE050A performance tires.
The car will go on sale on June 27th at a price of about $51,000 for the sedan. The Subaru Legacy STI S402 in a wagon body will be available at some $52,500.
