It has been only about three weeks since the 2009 Audi Q5 family of compact crossover SUVs was officially revealed, but Audi already drew another rabbit off its hat. Meet the 2009 Audi Q5 S-Line factory tuning package.
Although the new S-Line package greatly (or, at least, visibly) enhances the exterior of the otherwise dull and rather boring Audi Q5, the whole bundle is not specifically about the looks.
Besides the new polished corporate grille and black exterior window trim that match that of roof rails, the more upscale version of the 2009 Audi Q5 also gets stiffened suspension kit and a set of optional 20-inch alloy wheels fitted with 255mm performance tires.
While these add-ons won’t turn your luxury compact crossover into a sports car, the car will probably feel a trifle more comfortable if you prefer energetic, aggressive style of driving.
Inside the car, there are new sports seats with electrically adjustable lumbar support and layered with Nappa leather or Alcantara trim with an embossed S-Line logo embroidered into the seat back.
A three spoke multifunction steering wheel with perforated leather, brushed aluminum inlays and S-Line badging in the door sills finish the picture of a muscular, but still very elegant city crossover.
