German tuning specialist Carlsson has prepared its new tuning kit for the facelifted 2008 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class roadster.

Implanting new ECU unit into the original 5.5-liter V8 engine and adding a four-pipe exhaust system, Carlsson increases its performance by 47 horsepower to 435 hp.

The torque has also been increased to 600 Nm @ 6000 rpm (442 lb-ft) and now the tuned car reaches 100 km/h mark in only 5.1 seconds and has a top speed of 293 km/h (182 mph).

Of course, there is also a subtle body kit so that the CK50 can be easily distinguished from the original SL500.

The kit includes new length-adjustable front spoiler, electro-polished grille inserts, rear diffuser with air conduction system and rear spoiler for the SL-Class with AMG package.

With the help of the C-Tronic suspension kit, the cars default ground clearance is lowered by 30 mm although it can be automatically heightened if the road is not so good as on a German Autobahn.
