2009 Maserati Quattroporte super-sedan
Although current Quattroporte, that was first revealed to the general public only five years ago, still looks as young, fresh and desirable as Angelina Jolie, a need for a subtle face-lift is apparent.
Of course, unlike some of its German competitors, the Grand Q doesn’t need a comprehensive overhaul: only a light touch of scalpel here and there.

The need for a cosmetic surgery is even more justified by the fact that sometime next year the Italian beauty will have to stand its ground against such respectable competitors as the upcoming Aston Martin Rapide and the Porsche Panamera four-door coupe.
The 2009 Maserati Quattroporte will feature new front and rear bumpers, front grille with chrome vertical slats (just like the one on the new Maserati GranTurismo), LED-powered front and rear lights, new lower door side moldings, and new side view mirrors.
Inside the car, prospective owner will find new center console as well as a refreshed multimedia entertainment system.
The car will be available in two trims.
The base model will sport a 4.2-liter 400 hp V8 engine, while the top of the range 2009 Maserati Quattroporte S will be equipped with more powerful 4.7-liter 430 hp V8.
Both models will share current six-speed automatic transmission. No info on pricing, yet.
The refreshed car will come to dealerships in October, 2008.
