2009 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport SUV to debut in Moscow
Mitsubishi will officially debut its new Pajero Sport seven-seating SUV at the Moscow Auto Salon in August, 2008.
Unlike the previous generations of the popular off-roader, the 2009 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport will feature a built-in ladder frame instead of a body-on-frame construction.

Based on the Mitsubishi L200 truck, the SUV comes equipped with one of three engines: 2.5L and 3.2L common rail direct injection diesel powerplants or a 3.5-liter V6 petrol unit, which will be ideal for Russia where it’s extremely difficult to find a pump with decent diesel fuel.
Although the SUV will be delivered with water-repellent seats and a waterproof luggage compartment floor (just like the Toyota FJ Cruiser), Mitsubishi’s “All-Wheel Control” (AWC) multimode 4WD system (like the one installed on the Mitsubishi Outlander crossover SUV designed to ride on paved roads), which combines front or full-time all-wheel drive with electronic traction and anti-skid control, quite clearly implies that it would be extremely imprudent to take the new Pajero Sport on a real off-road journey.
It just won’t make it.
