Abt AS3 tuning program for the 2009 Audi A3 Cabrio

German tuner Abt Sportsline is readying its first comprehensive tuning program for the 2009 Audi A3 Cabriolet.

Four different engine tuning kits that are offered with the AS3 program significantly increase the A3 Cabrio’s available power making the small sporty car even faster. Almost like the new S3, I’d say.

Abt offers a pair of kits to each of A3’s available TFSI engines. The Abt Power upgrade increases the 2.0 TFSI’s maximum power output from 200hp to 240hp and the 1.8 TFSI gets its power upgraded from 160hp to more impressive 200hp.

The more extreme Abt Power S upgrade increases the top power to 270hp and 240 hp respectively.

Not bad. I hope there is a set of better brakes and a sportier exhaust system available to match all this power.
