The price includes the $670 destination charge and applies to the base model with a 5-speed manual gearbox mated to a standard for the whole range 117hp, 1.5-liter i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine.

Replacing the manual with a five-speed automatic will increase the 2009 Honda Fit’s price tag to more impressive $16,020, but at the same time will improve its fuel economy rating from 27/33/29 mpg in the city/highway/combined cycles to 28/35/31 mpg respectively.

The car may be ordered with either 15-inch standard, or 16-inch optional wheels and sports such standard safety equipment as a Vehicle Stability Assist system; ABS; EBD; active head restraints; dual-stage, dual-threshold front airbags; dual front-side airbags and side-curtain airbags.
