Citing substantial customers’ demand (about 10 percent of those buying a Ferrari insist on equipping it with a manual gearbox), the Italian company finally promised to add an optional manual transmission to its upcoming California convertible.

Base model will still be equipped with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The 2010 Ferrari California will also receive a HGTC handling package we’ve already seen on the 612 Scaglietti and the 575 M Maranello models.

The Italian company doesn’t go into details, but the optional HGTC package will possibly include a different exhaust system, new set of tires, even stiffer anti-roll bars, sportier traction control system, and a set of vented carbon-ceramic discs with Brembo calipers.

Pricing! Give me the pricing, damn it!
