The range-topping 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS will be much more expensive though, setting you back at $30,995 including the $750 destination charge.
GM says that the first bunch of vehicles will be delivered in the first quarter of 2009.
The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro will be available in only three trim levels with Camaro LS and LT motivated by a 3.6-liter 300hp and 370Nm (273 lb-ft) V6 VVT engine, and the top of the line Camaro SS powered by a huge 6.2-liter 422hp, 553Nm (408 lb-ft) V8 powerplant.
Both engines are mated to a “fuel-saving” Hydra-Matic 6L50 six-speed gearbox with the TAPshift paddle-shift control.
In fact, the LT and LS models deliver up to 27 mpg on the highway, while the Camaro SS offers less impressive 23 mpg fuel economy.
