520hp Audi R8 V10 will be unleashed in Detroit
Despite the ongoing financial turmoil, the German carmaker is still eager to present its new Audi R8 V10 model to financially disoriented American customers.
Powered by a 5.2-liter V10 engine with 520 horses under its hood delivering a maximum torque of 540Nm (398lb-ft), the car will be the most impressive member of the current R8 line-up.

Chances are that sooner than later the V10 engine, that also powers the Audi S6 sports car, will be the only choice for the Audi R8 model range.
Although the 4.2-liter, 420hp V8 engine is strong enough to push the car through the 0-100km/h mark in only 4.6 seconds, lots of customers think that the engine, which is outsourced from the less expensive Audi RS4, is just not adequate for the German beast.
Pricing will be announced later.
