Although, like Jeeps, the Hummer series was initially designed to be primarily a superb vehicle for off-road adventures, the truck is more and more often considered a luxury item and those shelling tens of thousands of dollars for the legendary badge and the signature chrome grille expect the vehicle to be on top of competition, in all meanings of the word.
