First presented in March 2008 at the Geneva motor show, the Smart ForTwo Special Edition Limited Two will arrive to the U.K. market on the first day of September.
It looks like the year 2010 will indeed be groundbreaking for the automotive industry, as major players -Volkswagen, Chevrolet and BMW among them- are going to introduce their first mass-market electric-powered vehicles.
While Japanese kei-kars as well as Korean Daewoo Matiz and its sibling Chevrolet Spark do not look like ideal objects for exterior tuning, the German Smart ForTwo is all about style.
It has been officially confirmed by Daimler that the new iteration of Smart ForTwo supermini’s price tag will be positioned well south of the $12,000 mark. Well, that was something to be expected, since the European version of a kei-car not only offers an extremely classy exterior design, but also treats its occupants with a very comfortable (although a bit toy-like) and a very roomy interior with lots of amenities you don’t really expect from such a small vehicle.
