Next year, the 2008 BMW 1-Series Convertible will finally start selling.
The long-awaited 2008 BMW 1-Series coupe, which is powered by a choice of two six-cylinder engines and offers a nice combination of extremely low weight, high agility, as well as the classic form-factor of a two-door small sedan with a functional trunk and a long hood, will be sold in the U.S. at a really interesting (although still too steep for a great number of enthusiasts) price.
The upcoming 2008 BMW 128i and BMW 135i sport coupes, which will go on sale in the spring of 2008, will be equipped with two different flavors of the same 3.0-liter inline-six engine. Taking into account an extremely low body mass index of the tiny sports coupe, even the least powerful naturally aspirated version of the engine looks totally overkill. Still, the German carmaking juggernaut decided to also equip the car with a twin-turbo powerplant that turns the little Bimmer into a Zero fighter.
