German tuner Wheelsandmore -a brand that prefers to deal with ultra-luxury supercars made in Germany, Italy and Great Britain- has released some preliminary info concerning it new LP620 YarroW tuning program for the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder supercar that was first unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show in January 2006. Although your normal family sedan would look a bit dated by this time, the Spyder looks as gorgeous and jaw-dropping as on that very day it was presented. It is especially nice that the tuning program doesn’t try to “refresh” the stunner, but instead successfully enhances its strongest qualities by adding just the right amount of mods in a limited number of strategically chosen places.
Tuners of different kinds and origins keep introducing more and more upgrade programs for the much-adored Chevrolet Corvette Z06 supercar, the sixth generation of the legendary sports car. This time, the Troy, Michigan-based Specter Werkes company decided to equip the ‘Vette’s 7.0-liter LS7 engine with a twin-turbo system by Lingenfelter Performance Engineering making it perhaps one of the most powerful street-legal Corvettes in the human history.
British tuning specialist Project Kahn now offers a customized leather interior for the gorgeous 2004 Aston Martin Vanquish S sports car. Featuring lots of leather and Alcantara of all shades and colors, as well as lots of contrast stitching unarguably done by a skilled hand, the custom interior makes a very strong impression, especially if you compare it to the stock one.
Although the British Lightning Car Company, which is behind the whole project, is taking pre-orders for their upcoming Lightning GT EV since March, it will be only tomorrow that the prospective customers and general public will have the first chance to see and actually touch the mighty electric car.
The famous Japanese tuning specialist ASI has revealed its new ASI Tetsu GTR sports car: an outrageous tuning program for the 2008 Bentley Continental GT super-coupe. Although the Japanese word “tetsu” means “iron”, and although some purists may argue that covering a Bentley in gold lacquer is as vulgar as a platinum Rolex decorated with diamonds and pearls, I must say that the idea is not exactly off-center when it comes to highly expensive items. For many years, gold-top Gibson Les Pauls have been instruments of choice for many well-known guitarists, as are custom made grand pianos from brands like the Italian Fazioli Pianoforti, and even Baroque-styled furniture that even now often comes with gold paint on its surfaces.
The latest 2008 Aston Martin DBS supercar, a glimpse of which we’ve already seen in the latest James Bond flick, has finally been officially revealed.
As usual for the British ultra-luxury brand, the vehicle looks absolutely stunning both on the outside and inside its plush cabin with lots of black Alcantara and black lacquer. And yes, the impressive looks are flawlessly matched with a monster-sized engine that makes this car faster than some pre-WWII fighters.
The 2008 VW Golf GT Sport hot hatch will replace the outgoing pair of Golf Sport and GT appearance packages. Although the number of press images the GP Sport is still limited to just 1 (one!), it is clear that the new package looks quite sporty, although it is truly that it lacks, um, consistence with its set of lightweight aluminum wheels singing out of tune with black head lamps and radiator grille.
The German-owned Italian brand has just revealed its new, limited edition version of the 2007 Lamborghini Gallardo supercar. Quite predictably, the vehicle will be lighter, stronger and faster than the, ahem, “stock” version Gallardo, which is by no means slow even though the bulk of transformations involves stripping dead weight from the interior and body with all of its high-performance components (i.e. the engine and exhaust system) basically left untouched.
The 2007 Audi R8 supercar, which is destined to fight its way through the ranks of such road warriors as the Italian Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4, the British Aston Martin V8 Vantage and, of course, the stunning (albeit somewhat archaic in its design) German beauty Porsche 997 Carrera 4S, will feature a permanent 4WD quattro system with viscous coupling (it is reported to be outsourced from Volkswagen) and will be motivated by a 4.2-liter 420hp V8 FSI transplanted directly from the gorgeous Audi RS4 compact sports-sedan.
