German tuning specialist Loder1899 that usually specializes on much more expensive British beasts made by Jaguar and Aston Martin, has released an upgrade program for the much humbler Ford Focus RS 300hp performance hatchback. Its desire to jump on the RS tuning bandwagon is easy to understand. While the new vehicle is not as exclusive, it is so popular among younger enthusiasts that it will possibly give the German brand more exposure (and hopefully more orders) than the two aforementioned brands combined.

Fiat is reportedly working on adding a hybrid-powered version of its highly popular Fiat 500 super-mini to their product line. Although even while equipped with a conventional powertrain, the Italian compact car is not particularly thirsty, the car manufacturer still wants to kill at least two birds with one stone: make the car even easier on your wallet, while still allowing it to be fun to drive. VW has finally unveiled pricing for the next iteration of its main moneymaking machine. As most manufacturers, the German car manufacturer will raise the cost of the new car, but will try to keep the increase slightly lower the official inflation rate. At least, it is reported that in Germany, the entry-level version of the 6th-generation 2009 Volkswagen Golf will cost €16,500, which is about €200 more expensive than the current Golf.

The new city car is supposed to replace the first generation model that was first introduced back in 1996 and, although quite profitable for the carmaker thanks to its dirt-cheap manufacturing costs, finally too old to attract enough attention from young customers searching for their first brand new car.
