German tuning specialist GeigerCars.de -a brand that specializes in all sorts of cars and trucks that can be referred to as ‘American muscle’- already has a number of high-voltage models under its belt with the list of tuning packages including the gorgeous Corvette Z06, the heavy-duty Ford F650 and even a seriously souped-up version of the legendary Hummer H2 (offered as H2 GT, this one was fitted with a pair of Lambo-style guillotine doors.) Now, raising the proverbial stakes and putting even more money on the table, the German tuner has finally offered its first upgrade program for the fast and furious 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 pony car.
Saleen Automotive, a California-based tuning specialist that has been in the business of coach-building for exactly 25 years, has just released its new Saleen Dark Horse special edition performance coupe. Based on the 2009 Ford Mustang GT, the new sports car features a more powerful version of the same 4.6-liter 3-valve SOHC Modular V8 engine with variable camshaft timing and a number of other amenities, including an aggressive-looking aero kit.
The 2009 Ford Mustang, which is basically a facelifted 2008 model, will feature a choice of three roof options.

The Californian Saleen tuning company has updated their stable of Mustangs on steroids. Based on the fifth-generation 2007 Ford Mustang that was first introduced two years ago, the new Saleen H302 and H302SC seem to be inspired by the legendary 1967 Shelby GT500 ‘Eleanor’ that was immortalized in a classic Gone in Sixty Seconds movie starring Nicolas Cage and Angelina Jolie.
Chrysler has officially started 356 days countdown before the production version of its 2009 Dodge Challenger muscle car will be unveiled to the general public. Although it is still almost a full calendar year before the car will be shown on a motor show (and there will probably be three to four more months before first customers will receive their vehicles), it is clear that Chrysler is about to introduce a new icon on wheels.
