Known for their glowing red-hot versions of production cars and trucks, the legendary Ford Special Vehicle Team (aka SVT) has prepared an even more powerful variety of the 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor half-ton truck. Planned to be available for order starting December 1, 2009 at a price of $44,995 and equipped with a lot more powerful engine, the vehicle will be faster than a lot of German car-based SUVs (well, at least on a straight line.)
At the upcoming SEMA 2009 tuning show in Las Vegas, FoMoCo is going to present its new 2010 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet FR500CJ drag racer, a sequel of the last year’s 2008 Mustang Cobra Jet limited edition model. Perhaps, the ugliest Mustang you have ever seen although, being a custom cruiser enthusiast for many years, I can somehow get the appeal of a car that seems to be deliberately exaggerating most of its weakest design points just in order to look the baddest-ass hardest-case on the block.
The American coach-builder Hennessey Performance Engineering will reveal its badass 2010 Hennessey HPE700 Camaro supercar on Tuesday, November 3 at the upcoming Specialty Equipment Market Association Show, 2009 (and usually mostly referred to simply as SEMA) in Las Vegas, Nevada. Judging by its exterior, the new customized vehicle is built around a recently presented 2010 Camaro SS two-door sports coupe, which basically means that it was especially easy for the tuning specialist to match powerful engine with deliciously retro-styled, yet muscular exterior.
At the upcoming SEMA 2009 show, the American tuning studio Fox Marketing is going to present its new upgrade program for the 2010 Lexus IS 350C luxury sports convertible. Its looks like the main idea behind the new tuning package is to turn a convertible, which is in its base form a kind of vehicle that is more luxurious than sporty, into a real sports car. It is clear that, to accomplish this objective, an ugly set of nicely painted plastic just wasn’t enough: the Japanese open-top needed to have a comprehensive engine upgrade program and that’s what it received.
While not as extremist as the an in-house tuned Dodge Challenger drag race package, the new SRT8 tuned by Hurst and set to be unveiled during the next SEMA show, will nevertheless feature a formidable 500hp engine and will still be a totally street-legal car.
